BEFORE YOU MARRY THAT GUY/GIRL
(5 THINGS TO WORK ON BEFORE YOU SAY “I DO”)
EVERYONE, at least, ALMOST everyone wants a great Marriage,
And most time we’re quick to detect the mole in other people’s eyes, and then forget to look out for the log in our own eyes.
A Great marriage takes TWO People, not ONE.
Before you Say I DO,
Here are 5 things you should work on about YOU.
✔️ Your GIVING CAPACITY.
Stinginess will not do you any good.
If you have a Masters degree in the act of being Stingy and miserly, you might need to learn how to give genuinely and lovingly before you get married.
It’ll do your marriage a lot of good
✔️ Your FORGIVING CAPACITY
No Marriage Is perfect
No one is Perfect
There’s little misunderstandings here and there, little disagreements,
We sometimes without intending to, hurt each other EVEN WITH the best of intentions.
Being good at ignoring, forgiving and letting go of arguments will do your future Marriage and Home a WHOLE LOT of good.
✔️ Your TEMPER
Many Marriages have been destroyed by anger.
In a moments rage,
A fit of anger
Unpleasant Words let loose, never to be forgotten
Actions carried out, to be regretted later on.
Spouses bath each other in hot oil.
Drums of divorce are rolled out.
Ability to CONTROL your temper and anger is a great plus for anyone to take into Marriage
✔️ Your FAITHFULNESS CAPACITY
Please, if you are still moved to and fro by anything in skirt,
having the idea that “How can a Man eat only one type of soup everyday”
Marriage isn’t the first thing you need oh. Lai lai
Going into Marriage with so much promiscuity running through you veins, well, at least I can say to a large extent that Marriage won’t make that go away.
✔️ Your PATIENCE
If there’s anything marriage tests, it’s your Patience.
When Wifey forgets to add salt to the meal or burns the food, again.
When Hubby doesn’t seem to get you, or forgets to compliment your hair..
You’ll need to patiently make corrections, patiently ignore faults.
Without Patience, Love is handicapped.
For everything I just mentioned above, Marriage will test you.
For every habit you refuse to work on
For every weakness you pretended isn’t there,
Marriage will expose you
Marriage will reveal the real you.
Work on yourself now that you are single, at this time it’ll be like ASSIGNMENTS and CLASS WORK
BUT when you are married,
you’ll be writing EXAMS.
