3 Churches That May Never Remain The Same When The General Overseers Hands Over

Spiritual leadership especially in a nation like Nigeria is something that is indeed shrouded and so well guarded with almost near secrecy that it is often very difficult in most cases to see how the succession line will go.

Again because of the nature of spiritual structures which gets its essence and authority supposedly from the most high which in such cases is not revealed to everyone except the leader in question,it is also very difficult to really hold such leaders to account and know how the plan for succession will go.

This is both a strength and weakness of spiritual entities because while it does goes well in some cases, in other’s it is quite not so.

Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Indeed the church has grown in leaps and bound under the present General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye but indeed so much rests on how well the succession and change of leadership goes when it does happen.

For sure, Daddy Adeboye as he is fondly referred to by the church members still has plenty of years to go, but when the time does come,it may have seriously far reaching effect on the body of Christ as we know it right now.

Second on this list is the

Deeper Life Bible Church

headed by it’s founder and General Overseer, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi.

The church which was and is still famous for it’s very strict and pious outlook at life and living has indeed come a long way. It should be noted here however that many of the teachings of the church appears to be giving away to modernism and new way of life.

Instances like the watching of TV which was declared to be the devil’s box appears to be giving way in many of families in the church.

The Deeper Life Church too will surely shake the way Christianity is viewed by non- believers when the change of baton comes.

The third church here is the

Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM).

Renowned for it’s Power Must Change Hands programme and it’s ‘die by fire’ prayers, it is another church whose change of leadership will either spell doom or glory for the Nigerian church at large.
