My heart bleeds for the challenges African people are going through on a daily basis. African countries have suffered more than any other continent due to corruption and political instability.
The number of aids been carried out to in African soil is huge. There are all kinds of issues to deal with.
The Church in Africa need to do more for the people both spiritually and otherwise. Yes the Churches are trying, but more is needed.
In 10 years from now if care is not taking, it will become more and more difficult for African Christians to even pay their tithes. Below are the three main reasons:
1. The level of poverty among Africans.
Without lying to ourselves, there is a problem of poverty visible in Africa. If nothing is done urgently, as the people become poorer, the more difficult it will be for them to pay their tithes, no matter the threat you put them through.
2. The lifestyles of African pastors
This may also discourage a lot of people who were paying their tithes before. If the pastors don’t control their expensive lifestyle, it may backfire on the Church. The Church needs money to carry out the programme of soul winning.
3. The message content.
There is no doubt that God rewards givers of tithes and offerings. But when we focus so much on miracle and breakthrough, instead of teaching the real basis of holiness and contentment, it will lead to problems.
When you give your tithes, you are helping the Church of Christ to fulfill its mandate of reaching the world for him. Don’t focus on bless me, bless me messages. God will bless you no doubt, but serving God is more than that.
A lot of Christians are getting tired. They need to hear the truth about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We will like to receive your comments. Do you believe in tithes? Do you always pay your tithes? If you are not paying, what is your reason or reasons?
God bless you.
