During the monthly empowerment summit for church leaders and cell ministers of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo gave strategies to employ in order to ensure that the 2022 church growth plan will be achieved.
He started by saying that God is a God of multiplication, as witnessed over the years by the church. You will recall that in 2015, Bishop Oyedepo claimed to have an encounter where God revealed himself to him as the God of Wonder Double, and how he would stay with the church as long as they would want him to stay. Since 2015, Winners Chapel has witnessed supernatural church growth both in attendance, home cell groups and in the number of churches planted across Nigeria and other countries of the world.
In his message, the Bishop gave 3 strategies anyone can employ to ensure church growth.
1) Passionate engagement on the altar of prayer
He said that everything about church growth is tied to prayers because the growth of the church is under demonic opposition. It would take spiritual warfare to free the souls under the captivity of Satan, and that where prayer comes in. He said that when we pray, we should engage three major tools to achieve maximum results. The three tools are; the help of the Holy Spirit, the ministry of the reaper angels who are ordained to bring in souls in the end time, and the blood of the lamb to overcome the forces of Satan who hold the souls bound.
2) Passionate engagement in marketing Jesus.
A product will not sell if it is not properly marketed in spite of the fact that the product is good. In the same way, Jesus is what the world needs, but we need to market him properly if people will accept him. You market Jesus by telling people about his salvation and his acts. Marketing Jesus is God’s original plan to save the world.
3) Engaging a compelling strategy to bring people to church
When you market Jesus, you must offer a compelling invitation if people will listen to you. He gave two examples of the compelling strategies you must employ. Firstly, he said that you must engage bold speaking because it’s the only way to see signs and wonders. Besides, if you’re not bold enough in what you’re saying, how will people believe you? Secondly, you must be joyful as you share the message because nobody will buy a product from a gloomy trader.
