In the month of October 2020, Nigerians embark on a peaceful protest which later turns out to becomes a violent one after some hoodlums hijack the protest. The campaign which was tagged #ENDSARS is primarily to curb down/end the brutalities and fatalities of the Nigerian Police agents called SARS.
Along the line, exactly on the 20th of October, 2020, members of the Nigerian Army fired gunshots at peaceful End SARS protesters while they were busy protesting at Lekki Toll-gate, Lagos State.
It’s a blackout day for Nigeria as many innocent souls lost their lives while some were confirmed to be hospitalized after the attack.
Despite the video proof of the shootings and killings, Nigerian government claim the attack isn’t true. There jas been lots of controversies after the incidence, Lagos State government set up a judicial panel to investigate the matter, Fashola also reportedly spotted a camcorder at the place of the incidence, CNN reporter is also parts of the amazing stuffs that happened after the Lekki Massacre.
Four months after the sad incident, Faith Abiola Oyedepo who happens to be Bishop Oyedepo’s wife informed Nigerians on what we will be organising on the 20th of every months. She stated as follow.
“On the 20th of every month beginning from tomorrow, we will be engaging in prayers in remembrance of those that were killed at the Lekki massacre.
Participate by engaging in the prayers that will be posted here”.
That’s a nice idea from the prophetess, let’s all make sure we are participating in the remembrance of the innocent souls, they are also our past heroes.
