4 Serving Nigerian Governors you probably don’t know are born again Christians

The difference between being born-again and being a Christian is not known to many.

A Christian is anyone born to Christian parents and baptized into Christianity with a Christian name and an attent service to the church.

A born-again Christian is the one who repented of his sin, confessed Jesus as his personal lord and savior, was baptized with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues.

Some Christians believe that only those who are born-again are those who are holy and are going to make heaven. Ordinary Christians who go to church must have the experience of being a true Christian born-again ..

One time or the other the following governors have openly confessed they are born-again or demonstrated in their lifestyle.

1. Governor Ortom of Benue State is one of Nigeria’s serving Governors who has confessed to be born again. Gov. Orthom is a gov. of the PDP.

Governor Ortom declared some time ago that he had been born-again since 1979 at a 2-day retreat for new appointees to governor.

Ortom is a member of the Christian Redeemed Church of God. He attends Signs and Wonders Parish in Makurdi.

2. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State is another born-again governor. The Governor recently, while attending a function at the RCCG, said he was proud to be a member of the RCCG.

3. Sanwo-Olu of the state of Lagos is added to the list of born-again Christian Governors. Sanwo-Olu is a regular member of Ministries of Mountain on Fire and Prayers.

4. Additionally, Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde attends St. Peters Cathedral, Aremo in Ibadan. The governor has declared his church to be his Government’s official church.

Governor Wike attends the Everlasting Grace Chapel of the House of Government built by his administration. Governor Wike is the only Governor among the born-again Governors who has the audacity to declare his state a Christian state. Finally, Cross River State Governor Benedict Ayade. Although at the Metropolitan Arch-Diocese of Calabar a Knight of the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
