Nigeria has the 1st and 2nd largest church auditorium in the world which are the 50,000 faith Tabernacle auditorium of Living Faith Church located in Ota Ogun State and the 100,000 Glory Dome of the Dunamis International Gospel centre located at the federal capital territory Abuja. Winner’s Chapel and DIGC have all experienced tremendous growths over the years with influx of record breaking multitude filling the auditoriums to the overflow.

Salvation ministry is also one of the ministries in Nigeria causing waves home and abroad and it seems they will soon take the stage and set a record for building the largest church auditorium in time to come. It’s head quarters is located at the heart of Portharcourt City with thousands of worshippers trooping in and out every Sunday.

Salvation ministries embark on a project to construct the world’s largest single church auditorium named “The five fingers of God” some years back and The auditorium initially was meant to sit about 150,000 worshippers at a time but recent release shows the auditorium will only sit 120,000 worshippers at a time. The

The estimated cost of the gigantic project cost about N50 billion but so far only N30 billion have been spent. According to the General overseer Pastor David Ibiyiome, “it will be built debt free and no pandemic can make this church and myself poor” .

Pastor David Ibiyiome is also one of the richest pastors in Nigeria, began the church in 1997. Today, it is one of the fastest growing ministries with over thirty branches in different parts of the world, estimated to be worth of N1.5 billion

Interestingly Pastor David Ibiyiome and Pastor Dr Paul Enenche are all spiritual sons of the prophet Bishop David Oyedepo. It seems David Oyedepo is passing the mantle round.

2. The gigantic project is estimated to cost about 50 billion naira but so far only 30 billion naira have been spent. This is according to reports made by the Senior pastor David Ibiyiome.

3. On completion, it will not only be the world’s largest but the most expensive.

4. The cathedral will be the first in the world to have such a shape (like the fingers of a man)

5. The church auditorium will sit a total of 120,000 worshippers at a time.
