Since the practice of Christianity is a tough task, Christians need to be extremely careful. As a Christian, your level of association speaks volumes about your faith. Since you have made up your mind to follow Jesus, there are pleasures you need to forgo.
A true Christian is not supposed to be found in an unGodly area unless you are there to lead a lost soul to Christ. Since you are considered to be Holy, you have become light and as such, shouldn’t be seen where there is darkness. Let us read the book of 2 Corinthians 6:14 for a better understanding.
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” KJV.
Since you are not supposed to be yoked with the unbelievers, here are places you shouldn’t go to. People should not see you in such places.
1. Night clubs
At nightclubs, many unthinkable things happen between young men and young ladies that don’t glorify the name of the Lord. Sometimes they fight because of women and shed blood. This is not the right place to find you.
Take for instance as a Church girl/boy, someone sees you at the club at night dancing and catching fun; do you think such a person will ever call you a faithful Christian again? Avoid nightclubs, please.
2. At the bar
Some Christians are fond of ending up at the bar to empty as many bottles as possible. This is not right and shouldn’t be seen with Christians. The Bible condemns drunkness so the children of God should avoid It.
The worst part is that those who do it don’t care about what people would say. The truth is that you can’t preach to anyone who knows you and except to be valued. Whatever you do as a lifestyle affects your relationship with people and God. Please once you are a baptized Christian, don’t form the habit of drinking alcohol.
3. In the gambling hall
Many people love gambling a lot which is not right. This has recked many youths today and they are not stopping it. Some students can even use their school fees and house rent to gamble and lose everything. This can turn you into a thief because since you are addicted to it already, you must keep doing it.
As a Christian, please don’t do it. How would you feel after singing in the Choir and people seeing you in the gambling shop? What kind of Christian will they call you. Since there are many evils associated with it, it is not what Christians should do.
