Rev. Dr. Uma, the founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association sends an important message to pastors in the church. Due to their commitment to the things of God, they may not have enough time for themselves and their health. He, therefore, warns them against stress and advised them to rest.

He said that he was with his wife in an aircraft and he told a man to please create time and rest or else he will die in one month. He got angry with that statement and died a month after. He said that while he was in Port Harcourt, a pastor friend of his was ministering and he collapsed. They called him to come and pray for him and he refused, telling them to let him go to his assigned room and rest. He took offense and said that his anointing has made him arrogant and would later leave for his home. As he parked his car to step into his house, he slumped again and died.

Speaking further, he said that a friend of his received a prophecy from a young prophet that he will be the president of Nigeria. He ran to him and said, “Uma, you are looking at the president of Nigeria.” He then warned him that it is a trap to make him die prematurely because he’s the church leader and an organization leader, so there is no how he can combine this with a third appointment. He scheduled a meeting to hold the next weekend, he slept till the next week and when he got to the venue, it had been held. He went back home and they lost him.

He then pleaded with the pastors to always find time to rest because their work is the toughest under the sun. He said that one pentecostal miracle service is equivalent to a Soldiers 7-days hard labor. People do not allow you to rest as they can call you anytime to solve their problems. “Please, create time for yourself and practice how to rest well, eat well and drink pure water,” he said. He said that God knows that we still need you because there is a role that only you can play but you can’t play it from your grave.

Finally, he said that the shortest way to failure is trying to please everybody. While saving others, save yourself also. Your family still needs you; the church still needs you.
