A WORD TO YOUNGER PASTORS ON SPIRITUAL FATHERHOOD.
How can the man who led you to Christ be alive.
The man who RIASED you up spiritually is alive.
The man who ordained you into ministry is also alive.
The man who stood with you and Helped you in your most DIFFICULT moment in life is also alive.
The man who believed in you when there was no glory to behold around yourlife be alive.
How can the man who employed you as a Pastor when your life depends on that offer of employment be alive.
The man who feeds you spiritually with God’s word is alive
How can the man whose voice God use in speaking into your life be alive and you call a totally different person your SPIRITUAL FATHER?
The man who played all this role in your life, if he is still alive. It will be completely wrong to call any other person your father.
Even if you claim God leads you to a different father, always find a way to honour this man.
If he has become very big and too busy, And his current schedule doesn’t permit access to him still find a way to always honour him occasionally.
Then believe God for Mentors and Pastors over your life that are Descendants of this FAMILY TREE.
He is Your father you can’t change it.
The only time you can change such a man from being your father is when sincerely there is a Thus Says The Lord.
Or you have an evidence that he has left the faith.
Even if he leaves the faith you have to prayerfully stand by him in the place of prayer as a son that has once benefitted from that Grace.
Because he is still your father even outside of the faith. (THIS IS DEEP)
YOUR BIOLOGICAL FATHER GOES TO DRINK AND FALLS INTO THE GUTTER. YOU WILL PICK HIM UP AND TAKE HIM HOME AND LET HIM HAVE A GOOD SHOWER AND REST VERY WELL. WHILE YOU FIND A WAY TO HELP HIM STOP DRINKING.
LIFES JOURNEY IS NOT ALWAYS A PREDICTABLE VOYAGE.
THERE ARE TIMES AND TIDES YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR THAT LIFE BRINGS YOU INTO.
ONLY THEN WILL YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT FATHERS HAVE SURVIVED.
REMEMBER YOU HAVE ONE FATHER BUT SO MANY MENTORS.
MOST YOUNG PASTORS THINK THEY MUST CALL YOU FATHER FOR THEM TO BE ACCEPTED BY YOU.
YOU CAN GIVE A MENTOR THE HONOUR OF A FATHER AND YOU WILL ENJOY ALL THE BENEFITS OF A FATHER.
THE WATCH WORD IS HONOUR.
IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND HONOUR YOU WILL SUFFER HORROR.
