Always remember your mother and loved ones just like Jesus did on the Cross – Pastor W.F Kumuyi

It is no longer news that when some people make it in life, they do not remember their parents or relatives. Instead, they prefer to spend the money on their friends and lavish on things that will benefit their lives. Some individuals do not care about the well-being of their parents after they succeed, they do not care about how they are faring not minding the money they have spent to send them to school and all the sacrifices they have gone through to see them succeed.

This kind of attitude is not good, and portrays such an individual as ungrateful and lacks the virtue of appreciation. Nevertheless, there are still some individuals that care and look after their parents after they succeed, they make sure their needs are met and they are well taken care of in their old age. 

In one of Pastor Kumuyi’s messages during the Global Crusade held at Uyo, precisely on Sunday Morning. In the message titled the Seven Wonders Working Saying of The Cross, Pastor William of the Deeper Christian Life Ministries outlines the Seven Points of Consideration.

Amongst the Seven Points listed in the Message, Pastor kumuyi spoke extensively to his congregation concerning those that do not care for their parents when they are still alive. The fourth point is titled the Wonder of Solace for the Sorrowful. In this point, Pastor Kumuyi focused on John chapter 19. He reassured the worshippers that whatever sorrow that is in their hearts, the Lord will comfort them on every side. It does not matter what people say about you, or whatever you have lost in your life and Family that nobody on Earth can replace God will comfort you beyond your imagination.

Pastor Kumuyi referring to the passages above, said that some people when they are alive and have money, job and fame they forget their parents especially their mothers. Rather they only come home once in a while to greet her, how do you expect her to be fine when you only visit her once in a blue moon. Some Christians even say what do they have to do with their parents in the village, claiming they are new creatures in Christ. Others claim to be too busy gathering wealth thereby forgetting their siblings, relatives, and loved ones. The Holiness preacher in his message said it is important we learn from the example of Jesus and the lovely relationship he displayed with his Mother even to the point of his death. He cared for her well-being even at the cross, as he told his disciples to take care of his mother.
