Any Pastor Who Watches Football On Saturday Is Likely To Give Empty Sermon On Sunday – Bishop David Abioye

Bishop David Abioye has once challenged pastors saying that any pastor who watches football on Saturday instead of prayerfully preparing for Sunday service is likely to deliver an empty sermon.

He went on to say that many pastors are chasing after ranks without first of all making a mark. In his words, “Nothing works without firstly, working it out yourself. Don’t wish for rank, make a mark. Many are so busy entertaining themselves, abandoning the souls committed into their hands to bring for God.”

The cleric gave instance of great men of God who are indeed, God’s generals. He added and said Generals began as labourers. The lights of Oral Roberts (who you can only tell the time when he starts a crusade but you can’t tell the time to finish it, because he will be too busy touching the lives of many through God’s word, healing the sick, not today in our time when a pastor will after preaching on Sunday, will likely go for break on Monday.), also Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Paul Eneche etc.

“There’s no God’s generals without a mark, he may be hiding his own under his dress. You need to have a scar before you can become a star. You can’t watch football throughout Saturday and expect the power of God to move during service on Sunday” he added.
