According to Fani-Kayode, a “Real Christian” isn’t someone who advocates for the Muslim-Muslim ticket as a positive development.
On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, the former minister made this statement while participating in “Politics Today” on Channels Television.
Many Christians, according to Fani-Kayode, are unhappy with the same-faith presidential ticket, but that isn’t the biggest threat to the nation.
According to the minister, the transfer of power to the North in 2023 poses the biggest threat to national unity. He continued by saying it would be unfair for a northerner to hold onto power after President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had been in place for eight years.
The same-faith presidential ticket poses no threat to Christians, according to Fani-Kayode, who also added that Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima are not bigots.
During his time as governor of Lagos State, he claimed that Tinubu granted a lot of churches land and restored missionary schools to their owners.
He continued by saying that Shettima was the governor of Borno State who had erected the most churches.
