Apostle Jonathan Shekwonya, born on October 9, is the President and Founder of Family Worship Experience International (FWEI), which has offices in Keffi and Masaka, Nassarawa State, Nigeria. He is a Nassarawa State University graduate. The Ministry operates a weekly program on Fridays in Keffi and Sundays in Masaka, both in Nassarawa State.

For 22 years, Apostle Jonathan Shekwonya served his biological father, the late Reverend Josiah Shekwonya, who was also a pastor. He was also a keyboardist for the Fellowship of Christian Students (FSC), Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) Chapter, and a one-time President of the Christian Law Students’ Fellowship of Nigeria, NSUK Chapter (CLASFON).
He is a law graduate, and at the age of 23, he established the ministry God had entrusted to him: Family Worship Experience International (FWEI)—A Place of Word, Worship, and Intimacy. He began the ministry with seven friends at Nasarawa State University’s Keffi Basket Ball Court, under the direction of his spiritual father, Apostle Joshua Selman Nimmak of the Eternity Network International (Koinonia), replicating the same grace upon the life of his spiritual father in Zaria on both campuses, where thousands gather every Friday at 6 p.m. in Keffi and on Sundays at 5 p.m. in Masaka.
Pastor Mrs. Jooy Shekwonya, Apostle Jonathan Shekwonya’s heartthrob, is blissfully married to him (née Adamu). On November 19th, they married and had a beautiful daughter, Menorah Shekwoyemi (meaning God loves me), Jonathan Shekwonya.
