As a Christian Brother: Clothes to Wear and What Not To Wear to Church
-Are you a man of obedience?
Church is a christian house of worship, a building where religious services take place. Christians therefore see themselves as a spiritual community and as one in the church. A man dedicated to serve God is considered holy, because he follows God’s rules, and direction.
-Do you obey God?
If the answer to the two questions above is a “yes”, is your mode of dressing also appropriate?
It’s quite apparent these days that the mission of some Christians is to display their fashion capability to other church members, and not their heart to God. This is quite inappropriate, Christians are meant to worship God and praise his name. A good Christian is expected to feed God with praise and worship, and not feed the eyes of the congregation. Read the bible verses below:
1st Peter 3:3-
“Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel”
1st Timothy 2:9 also says:
“Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing modestly and discretely…… “
This isn’t for women alone, but also for men. As a man, you should avoid wearing these cloths and trousers to church:
