ASSISTANT PASTORS MUST NEVER TELL LIES TO PROVE THEIR LOYALTY TO THEIR SPIRITUAL FATHERS:
Many YEARS AGO I was PRIVILEGED to attend an INTERVIEW that will QUALIFY ME for POSTING to a FOREIGN FIELD as a MISSIONARY.
Where MYSELF, MY WIFE and KIDS would have been PAID MONTHLY SALARIES in DOLLARS.
As a matter of fact, I came SECOND in the EXAM we wrote.
About 86 of us, with most of them my SENIORS in AGE and in MINISTRY coupled with the fact that I was given a VERY GOOD RECOMMENDATION by my STATE PASTOR.
During the ORAL INTERVIEW, the PASTOR in CHARGE of the INTERVIEW PANEL asked me if I have a VISION to LEAVE THE MINISTRY IN FUTURE, to which I responded in the affirmative.
And he said to me how can you leave THIS GREAT MINISTRY to go and DO WHAT?
I said to him sir, I HAVE A CALL THAT I CAN’T FULFILL UNDER THIS MINISTRY.
When GOD SAYS IT IS TIME, I will have TO GO and FULFILL IT.
He said to me, YOU were WELL RECOMMENDED, but since you said you will ONE DAY LEAVE; I will tell your STATE PASTOR you are the one who insists on HAVING A DIFFERENT CALLING.
And there is nothing I can do about your issue.
When I came back to my station, MY STATE PASTOR said to me you just MISSED an OPPORTUNITY TO HEAD GHANA CHURCH.
I said sir, I CAN’T LIE TO MY SPIRITUAL FATHER.
I know that ONE DAY I WILL LEAVE THE MINISTRY TO GO AND PURSUE THE CALL OF GOD UPON MY LIFE.
He said WHICH KIND OF CALL DO YOU HAVE?
You just MISSED A LIFE TIME OPPORTUNITY.
In the words of one of them, Just say you don’t have a Call to go anywhere and you would have been given the opportunity to go to a foreign field, where you will even make money before you eventually leave.
Long story made short.
I was dropped from the final list of successful candidates.
But as I speak, THE PASTOR who INTERVIEWED ME and the STATE PASTOR who RECOMMENDED ME are both GENERAL OVERSEERS of their different MINISTRIES TODAY.
Both of them RESIGNED TO GO and FULFILL their CALLING.
The same thing they PUNISHED ME FOR.
Part of what I believe is AFFECTING them TODAY are the LIES they told LEADERSHIP, that made LEADERSHIP so much BELIEVE in them and finally they BETRAYED that TRUST.
If you will GO ONE DAY, DON’T LIE that you will DIE THERE.
It makes a LEADER TO BUILD EVERYTHING AROUND YOU.
And by the time you WAKE UP and MOVE AWAY, the RELATIONSHIP will be THREATENED because you did not KEEP your VOW.
Two scriptures that should guide you in the book of PSALMS!
WHO SHALL DWELL IN YOUR HOLY HILLS?
HE THAT SWEARETH TO HIS OWN HURT AND CHANGETH NOT.
AND ALSO, HE THAT TELLETH LIES SHALL NOT TARRY IN MY PRESENCE.
You are not helping matter if YOU ARE TELLING A MAN YOU WILL DIE WITH HIM, when YOUR HEART is SAYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
ALWAYS SPEAK the TRUTH at ALL TIMES.
If you say you WON’T GO, let it be the TRUTH you are SPEAKING to LEADERSHIP.
If you say you will ONE DAY GO, be also ready to go with the BLESSINGS OF LEADERSHIP.
While you are still in that MINISTRY, BE FAITHFUL; BE TRUTHFUL AND BE FRUITFUL.
That is the ONLY WAY you will SUCCEED in all your FUTURE ENDEAVOURS.
