At 27, I Made A Vow Never To Borrow But I Will Be Lending To Nations – Bishop David Oyedepo
Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke on “In Pursuit of Excellence” at International Youth Alive Convention 2021. He read the book of Daniel 11:32 which says:
“And such as do wickedly against the Covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries, but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits”
He revealed that the fountain of excellence dwells in you and the wisdom of the ancient now lives in you. He said that you are redeemed to command excellence in all your ways. According to him, the spirit of intelligence and the breath of the Almighty gives understanding. At new birth, your spiriteless mind has now been re-spirited. He then advised you to catch your picture from the scripture, walk in line with that picture and you have created your future without stress.
However, the man of God revealed that some princes will never taste the throne. My God is the King of kings not the King of princes. At 16, he said that he knew that he was to reign on earth. Anytime he wanted to go out, he will check if a can we go out the way he is. He said that he knew that he was going to lend to nations if he will not borrow and he made a vow against borrowing. “I think I was 27 when I made that vow and now we are lending to nations. I knew I don’t have to know anybody to scale the utmost height, just know God,”he said.
