It will be recalled that Singer Tope Alabi called out the song “OniduroMi” as not spiritually digested’ before being released, which has met with hundreds of thousands reactions world wide.
Singer Tolu Adelegan who spoke extensively on Tope Alabi’s act, condemned such and expresses her disappointment.
She said “I’m surprised such could come out from Tope Alabi whom we all see as a minister at the Top and who receives her songs from the spirit coming against another singer of the same clan who receives her own song from the same source.”
She continued also by giving Adeyinka Alaseyori her own piece. She said, “When I heard that song elsewhere, I called those closer to her (Alaseyori) to talk to her and also posted it on her Facebook wall. But she didn’t go farther than that so as not to cause dispute.”
She concluded her interview by soliciting with Nigerians to also give cognizance to singers in the grassroot and give them listening ears also.
“Best of singers don’t come mainly from Lagos and Ibadan. Look beyond those places also and give the grassroot singers listening ears” she said.
