Pastor Paul Enenche, the founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre spoke to his members on”The Blessing Of Wisdom” at First Service, Glory Dome.
According to Church Gist, he advised them to escape the trap of borrowing. This is a wisdom key to accessing supernatural supplies (Deuteronomy 15:6). Whatever you do, let borrowing not be part of it. He said that the blessing of God forbids the existence of begging and borrowing. Borrowing counteracts the effect of the blessing; it is anti-blessing. The Lord is going to bless you as He said, but thou shalt not borrow means if you dare to borrow and make borrowing part of your life; you are cut off from the blessing.
That is, I give you a condition; if you want the Lord to bless you as He has said, thou shalt not borrow. “How many people have committed suicide or almost committed suicide because of the money they borrowed and they can’t pay back? How many relationships have been destroyed because of borrowing? How many friends became enemies because of borrowing?” he asked and said that thou shalt not borrow.
According to him, borrowing is anti-covenant. Avoiding borrowing is a condition for the blessing; accepting borrowing is an exit route from the blessing. Borrowing establishes the status of servanthood. The borrower remains a servant for as long as he enjoys borrowing. That is not the way to live. He said that even in the realm of business, there are people who say you can never do business with borrowing. “It is not true; I have met people who have never borrowed one dime,” he said.
