In one of the latest Mount Zion movies titled High Calling, there were two brothers with different divine callings, one was to work for God in Nigeria and the other was to work for God abroad. The fact that you are born in Nigeria doesn’t mean you cannot serve God abroad, missionaries were born abroad and came down to Africa to preach the gospel, so it is normal.
Elvon Jarrett is an example of someone who was born in Nigeria but now serves as a drama minister in the United States of America where he is with his wife Tokunbo Jarrett and his twin daughters named Ruth and Esther, they sing and are also involved in movie production. Both sisters are called RustherJayy when they sing.
Tokunbo writes scripts, the daughters act, the father directs and they are just fulfilling purpose in USA. Elvon was very involved with the Mount Zion Faith Ministry in Nigeria before he relocated to USA, he never stopped keeping in touch with Mount Zion as Damilola posts their movies on his channel regularly, when the Mike Bamiloye family also visit USA, you see the families together.
Elvon is currently 53 years old and he was born in Ibadan where many Mount Zion actors grew up, he has his own ministry now named Founder of Friends Of God Media.
He studied Anthropology in the University of Ibadan, he also studied Theatre Arts in the same university before going on to acquire his Master’s degree in communication arts from the same University.
He was involved in many Mount Zion movies, although, he mostly directed, he featured in many of them too. He currently has two series titled House On The Rock and Spiritual Rhapsodies.
