Bishop David Oyedepo Addresses ministers not to stand on the altar and allow people to bring them money like an idol – He reveals the consequences

The altar is a revered section in the temple of God. It is referred to as the holy section where the presence of God abides. It is the section where the cleric ministers to God. In the scriptures, the tabernacle and the holiest of the holies are sacred places that ordinary people cannot just venture into. In respect of this, Church Gist has shared a sermon delivered by Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel Church on the relevance of the altar and the supposed treatment that should be meted out on it. The cleric has called out on ministers in that, the altar is not their shop.

As shared by Church Gist, the cleric has bluntly addressed some ministers not to stand on the altar and allow people to bring them money like an idol. According to the cleric, he has condemned the view of some ministers that one could buy into the anointing of another minister. It is not correct and it is sacrilegious. According to the cleric, there is nothing wrong in honouring a father but you don’t buy anointing with money.

As shared by Church Gist, the Cleric has advised ministers of God not to go into any carnal competition with anyone. Do not say God told you anything when He has not spoken to you. Everything must be aligned according to the instructions and direction of God. The cleric has also reiterated the danger of money. Ministers of God must be careful with how they handle money. Money could mess up anyone in the ministry.

Ministers of God must be well attuned to the ways and instructions of God in order not to fall short of His glory.
