Bishop David Oyedepo celebrates God’s faithfulness As Faith Tabernacle clocks 21 years

The President and Founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo has today the 18th day of September 2020, given thanks to God for the 21st anniversary of when the Faith Tabernacle was built.

Faith Tabernacle is the 50,000 seat capacity auditorium of the Living Faith church located in Cannanland, Ota, Ogun state. The Faith Tabernacle, Ota, also doubles as the international headquarters of The church.

The clergyman who spoke today during the covenant hour of prayer gave the story of how God made the most foolish move in church history to become the most wise. He said ” God spoke to me on the 10th of April 1982, that at the base of this ministry, there will be a tent that will sit 50,000…”

The clergyman while speaking on why obedience was important as a believer and as a minister, continued that when it was time to build the church God took them far way from Lagos into a village at in Ogun state which defeated all church growth techniques. He said ” Just make moves of obedience..God said, This (Ota) is the place but he didn’t reveal what will happen when we got here…you don’t build a church in the forest far away from where people reside…how do you put the two together, you’re building something for the people far away from the people…”

He stated that though the instruction from God didn’t sound wise to all human minds present there, he chose to obey Gods leading, which inadvertently lead to the emergence of the glorious building, named the Faith Tabernacle, which now sits at Cannanland.

He also opined further that the church was built under a year, as construction started on the 18th of September 1998 and was completed on 18th of September 1999.

The Bishop also went ahead to give quality thanks to God, along with his congregation for the success God had granted them so far as a ministry and also harped in the need for believers to obey God irrespective of whether it was wise to do so or not, as obedience to God was the only way to a world of limitless breakthroughs.
