The Proper Way to Give Praise to God, as Revealed by Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo has demonstrated the proper method to glorify God. He revealed this during his sermon today during the Week of Spiritual Emphasis, when he taught on the rewards contained in praise.

He stated that the only way to obtain personal benefits from God is via personal praise. He stated that when you give compliments directly, it is more effective.

He used several Bible passages to demonstrate that God does not deal with organizations, but with individuals. For example, you are saved as an individual, not as a member of a saved group or family.

He also explained that while you should worship God with a personal mentality, you should also praise God seriously. He stated that the seriousness with which you pursue any endeavor will decide whether or not you are successful. He proclaimed that you should not thank God lightly since it would not bring you rewards.
