During the ongoing Shiloh 2021, God’s servant Bishop Oyedepo of Living Faith Church narrated an experience he had with God’s servant Kenneth E Hagin of blessed memory.
The subject of Faith in Christendom is so vital that without faith no man can please God. The Bible records that the Just shall live by faith. Without faith, nothing great can be achieved.
In his message, Bishop David Oyedepo related an incidence that transformed his faith life. It was a product of his encounter with a famous apostle of Faith, Kenneth Hagin an American Preacher renown for pioneering the Word of Faith movement.
Bishop Oyedepo said it was particularly in the year 1986 that the rare and miraculous incidence transpired. He traveled to Tulsa, USA for one of Kenneth Hagin’s programs specifically with the purpose of having a divine encounter with God.
He said that he told God to give him “Whatever makes Kenneth Hagin who he is”. During the program, Bishop Oyedepo said he was so focused where he was seated that he didn’t remember who was seated next to him.
In the course of the program, his eyes were fixed on Kenneth Hagin as he was preaching, then suddenly he saw Kenneth Hagin’s face transfigured to that of a little child and something electrifying fired into him (Oyedepo). He saw Oil dripping from Hagin’s head down to his body.
The moment that happened, he found himself sobbing uncontrollably despite that he tried to appear decent. He couldn’t help himself.
In the course of the incidence, God told him that the baton has been transferred to him.
He said it was later that he realized that what God gave him was the Spirit of Faith via that encounter.
Bishop Oyedepo said that this is why he can believe God for anything without doubting. He said that he hears God clear and clean like Kenneth Hagin does. He prayed that his Congregation will receive the same Spirit of Faith.
