Bishop Oyedepo, And Bishop Francis Wale Oke have been Convenant Friends for over 40 Years

I love this picture SO MUCH. Just saw it on Baba Wale Oke’s page a couple of minutes ago. Stuffs like this encourage the younger generation. The picture speaks VOLUMES! Three fathers of Faith who have shown what it means to be CONSISTENT in terms of commitment to ministry relationships.

Bishop David Oyedepo, and Bishop Francis Wale Oke have been covenant friends, for over forty years and they are still very much together. They have THE SAME spiritual father, in the person of Pastor E. A. Adeboye, who commissioned their ministries SAME MONTH SAME YEAR with two weeks difference – September, 1983. Despite some obvious differences in personality and temperament and as well as calling expressions, they have stayed glued together till date.

There are many young ministers in my own generation,who could not maintain up to five years of ministry relationships, before they started attacking their colleagues and fathers. 

Take it or leave it; consistency is one major thing to learn from these fathers. They have had issues too (and I know what I’m talking about), but they have come to a point where they realize that:

Calling is superior to comfort! Commitment is superior to convenience ! Covenant is superior to compromise! And honor is key in all things! May the Lord help our generation! I salute these fathers of Faith for what they represent in time and eternity. Many thanks Sirs for the gift of inspiration – the greatest that can be bestowed on the younger generation. Much Love!
