While preaching to the congregation about marital breakthroughs, Bishop David Oyedepo revealed what men should do to win the respect of their wives. According to him, what men should do is make a budget for the amooth running of the home so their wives don’t start chasing them around for money.
He used his family as a case study to expatiate his points. He said he didn’t go to the market to buy pairs of socks for his children when they were growing up and that his wife was taking care of their offering. They were running their home on a fixed budget like a hotel, and they’re still managing it that way till today. He set up his home like that because he needed time to do other things.
“Husbands and wives wake up! I never went to the market to buy socks for my children when they were growing up. Their mother was in charge of their offering, already budgeted. My wife is a very efficient manager of those things. That is not my area. I need my time for everything. We have a set budget that goes for running the house. We are still in it and our house runs like a hotel. Husbands, wake up and win the respect of your spouses. They mustn’t be chasing after you for money for the food that you will eat”, he said.
