Christ Embassy Sue’s Govt, CAN Chairman over allerged gang up against the Church

The Believer’s Loveworld Inc which is popularly called Christ Embassy, the Uyo Zonal Headquarters has alleged a gang up against the Church and has dragged the government of Akwa Ibom State.

The Church also included in the suit the State Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Ndueso Ekwere;

Recall that Pastor Emmanuel Effiong and another member of the Church were arrested and detained over what the government of Akwa Ibom called an attack of his officials during a visit to the Church for COVID-19 protocols enforcement.

According to TheGuardian, the Church (Christ Embassy) in a suit with registration number, FAC/UY/FHR/106/2020, is calling for the unconditional release of the pastor and the other member.

The Church claimed there is a gang up, hatred and malice against her and has approached the court for a redress.

“This action is borne out of malice, hatred and calculated attempt to malign the Church for disassociating herself from the Christian Association of Nigeria. “As a Church that respects the rule of law, we had envisaged this gang up and also took steps to seek protection of the law by approaching the Court”, the church said.
