Former Special assistant to president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in person of Bemigho Reno Omokri, has said that churches are to feed the poor and not the poor feeding their pastors.
The controversial pastor and human right activist who had been giving his followers on social media, lectures on how to be free financially said, the essence of Christianity is not to make money, but to redeem humanity back to Christ through souls winning.
The pastor Mind of Christ Christian Centre said the reason we follow Christ is about the salvation of our souls not for financial gain.
Taken to his verified twitter handle, the convener of Free Leah Sharibu Movement said;
“Churches should feed the poor. The poor shouldn’t feed pastors. The essence of Christianity is to win souls, not financial breakthrough. Christ following is about salvation not wealth. What does it profit us if we gain the world and lose our souls”?
Many have been agitating that at this critical and difficult time, churches are suppose to be concern about how the poor members are feeding but in most cases, reverse is the case.
