Covid:19: Pastor Kasali indirectly slams Bishop Oyedepo over His view against closure of churches.
Mixed reactions have trailed the online video of the founder of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo in which he was questioning the government’s directive on continuous ban against religious activities due to the coronavirus pandemic.
One of the mixed reaction tweets that came shocking to everyone was that of Pastor Yomi Matthew Kasali, the founder of Foundation Truth Assembly, who indirectly through his tweet slammed the founder of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo over his viral video of questioning government directive over the continuous closure of churches through his handle. Though, he was so intelligent enough not to directly throw the jibe at the Bishop, but his message was well understood by everyone, who came across his tweet on who it was direct to.
Below is his tweet:
“I’m shocked at d senseless insinuations of some Men of God about d continuous closure of churches. Imagine if d government had lifted the ban on all social gatherings, it would be construed as ‘Ramadan-driven’. Don’t forget Mosques are closed for worship too. #SafetyFirst”
Some of the mixed reactions are as follow:
According to Lola Okunrin; “What Bishop Oyedepo didn’t know is that if we don’t attend church for 1000 years, we won’t die but if we don’t go out to buy food stuffs, we will die of hunger.”
According to Justina Benson;
““Religion is not an essential good. These frauds keep showing face everyday. I’m ashamed.
Bishop Oyedepo of all people should understand this. So who has died coz he couldn’t go to church or mosque? Same can never be said of the markets – people need to re-stock supplies.”
What are your views about Bishop David Oyedepo stand against the continuous closure of churches by the Federal Government during this perilous time?
