Daddy Freeze, in a recent video posted on his official Facebook page, talked about religion the church and the state making reference to the fact that Peter Obi visited the church. He said that he wants to interpret that occurrence both scripturally and historically.
According to him both the church and the state are forms of government as they both claims your loyalty. The same way the church needs your loyalty that is how the state also needs it. He said that he can clearly state that the church is richer than Nigeria right now because the church is where people put the riches of both the government and the masses.
He said that Jesus Christ tried to make a distinction between the church and the state when He said, “Give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and give to God what is God’s.”
But in Nigeria where you have massive power and influence of religion, there must be a juncture where the two meet. He said that the point where the state and the Church have to meet is now (when it comes to Nigeria).
