Daddy Freeze, in a recent video posted on his official Facebook page, reveals why he stopped going to church. He had a Sunday Service with his family at home and he read from Hebrew 10:25, “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
According to him, Paul did not say that if you neglect the gathering of the brethren you will go to hell.
The scriptures never said that if you don’t gather together, you will not make Heaven and there are clear examples of people who were on their own and God sent his messengers to them. For example, The Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8) and Cornelius (Act 10).
He said that he went to the church for about 15 years and cannot single out one thing he learned from the church but is not condemning the idea of a mass gathering of saintly individuals. He said that he only learnt how to make religion traumatize him and can develop a psychological disease called Religion Trauma Syndrome. It didn’t take years to unlearn what was put in him by the church.
He said that one simple thing about the scripture is to have intention and the want to seek God and he will start revealing himself to you. When you start a journey with God, he is going to start showing you little by little until your cup is full of his things. He said that one of his sisters in the UK works from home and she is doing fine, so if you can work from home, why can’t you church from home?
