Drawing closer to God and eventually winning his heart is a big win for every Christian out there. When you win God’s heart, you are assured of God’s protection, his light will always shine upon you, his grace will abide with you, he will provide for you, guide you and direct your paths. These and so many more are the benefits you stand to gain by drawing closer to God. I am here to encourage and reveal to you how you can win God’s heart easily;
- First, you have to learn how to give especially to those in need. A passage of the Bible (proverbs 19:17) made us understand that those who gave to the needy around them welcomed Christ into their lives without knowing whereas those who refused to help these people did not know that they were driving God away. It was later God revealed this to them and assured those who helped that they have eternal life and those who failed to would be thrown down to eternal punishment.
- Another thing you can do as a Christian to win God’s heart easily is to pray ceaselessly. Praying like your life depends on only prayer would only make you see the benefits of serving God and this will in turn draw you closer to God. When this happens, you have won God’s heart and he will help you do even better physically and spiritually. (1The 5:17)
- Fleeing from sin is a very important one and the third thing that will help you win God’s heart. By the time you start obeying the ten commandments and the ones Jesus gave in the new testament, your life in Christ will be renewed. Sin is what draws us away from God and quitting it completely will reunite us to his kingdom. (Galatians 5:19-21)
It is important for us as Christians to be consistent in our service to God while trusting in him.
