At a press conference, Colorado resident Deion Sanders exclaims, “I Magnify Him… God is Amazing.”

Deion Sanders, the new head football coach at Colorado, used his first press conference on Sunday to deliver a brief sermon, reminding the assembled media and supporters that there is nothing “God can’t do.”

Sanders, often known as “Prime Time” for his prior athletic prowess, was appointed head coach of the Buffalos after guiding Jackson State (Miss.) to 11-2 and 12-0 records the previous two years. Sanders is 55.

“Never tell me what God isn’t, please.” “Don’t you ever tell me His bounds,” Sanders said at the start of his press conference as the new Colorado coach. Never tell me what obstacles you face or what you are unable to do.

“Out of all the persons in the world, God chose me? For that, I thank you,” Sanders said, also referencing the Colorado athletic director and board members. “For that, I love Him. For that, I magnify Him. For that, I glorify Him. For that, I praise Him. For that, I owe Him. Each and every day, I’m trying to please Him.”

Sanders mentioned a 2021 medical scare in which he was hospitalized with a femoral arterial blood clot, a life-threatening condition. Doctors considered amputating his left leg before amputating two toes on his left foot.

Sanders remarked, “It’s fascinating how God always pushes me to do the unimaginable and encourages me to act in ways that people wouldn’t conceive of doing.” And I never imagined I’d be in Colorado in this beautiful weather, in this beautiful area, in this beautiful city at this time last year when I was in the hospital dealing with blood clots, having two toes amputated, and the sides of my legs amputated. Never tell me anything that God cannot accomplish. This is really amazing. God is amazing.”
