Nigeria Televangelist, Apostle Johnson Suleman, the Senior Pastor and Founder of Omega Fire Ministries OMF, says Delilah was not only responsible for the fall of Samson, but three things affected him in the Bible and the last thing was his hair that was shaven by Delilah.
During the church Bible study program this evening, Apostle Suleman preached to his congregation on the subject; ” Mystery of Fallen Away”. His bible text is in the book of 2Thessalonians 2:3. He mentions an account of Samson as a Bible character to discuss what ‘fallen away or to backslide’ means.
Apostle Suleman said falling away is a process just like Samson falls, not immediately but gradually. According to him, many people are always saying the fall of Samson was caused by Delilah, who cut his hair. He said that was not the only thing that affected him. He was affected by three things.
3 Things that affected Samson
The man of God said the Bible reveals that Samson was a Nazorean, and by birth as a Nazorean, you are forbidden to do these three things.
Dr. Oyedepo said it was important for purpose-driven leaders to have a renewal of mind, noting that until one changes the way he thinks, he cannot change the way he lives. “The thoughts of today are what determines the outcome of tomorrow, and whatever is too big for anyone’s mind will be too big for his hand to handle,” he posited.
1. They are not allowed to touch strong drinks
2. They are not allowed to touch deadly things (unclean things)
2. They are not allowed to cut their hair. They should keep their hair long.
But Samson according to the man of God, violates these three things. He said Samson goes to a party and they serve him strong drinks. Secondly, he killed a lion and took honey from it after it had died, and the last thing which the majority sees as the only mistakes Samson made were his hair being shaven on the lap of Delilah.
