Mr. Bemigho Reno Omokri, a human rights activist and the former spokesperson to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has taken to his social media accounts to urge his followers to stop being lazy in the name of having faith.
Mr. Reno Omokri, who has been known for using his verified social media accounts as the platform where he educates people on how to live a good life and the ways to be successful, claimed that, even when something nice is meant for someone, if the person did not go for that good thing, the said good thing will never come to that person.
The bestselling author, Reno Omokri, further made an illustration with a biblical known event that concerned the journey of Israelites to their promised land. He reminded his fans and followers that even though it was a promised land, it did not come to Israel, rather, it was the Israelites that went to it.
“Don’t let religious people sell you laziness and call it faith. If it is meant for you, it won’t come to you. You must go get it. The promised land didn’t come to Israel. Israel went to it. Faith is knowing you can do it. Laziness is waiting for God to do it for you.” Reno Omokri advised.
It should be an undeniable fact that faith was never meant to take the place of work. God Almighty, according to the account of creation, worked and rested after six days, Jesus Christ worked. St. Paul even said any man that does not work should not eat.
Looking at what Reno Omokri has said, you will see that truly, some people might have been waiting on God, while God also is waiting on them to take the move before their prayer requests can come into reality.
