Dr. Becky Enenche is the wife of Paul Enenche who is the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre. She however narrates what happened when she first met her husband during their University days.
She revealed that she met him in 1989, at medical student fellowship. She went into the meeting and said, “Who is this lion preaching? Who is this guest minister?” She said that he was very quiet, you would actually just walk past him, very unassuming, very innocent, gentle when they were in school. “You wouldn’t believe that, that is the same person that was preaching with that level of fire and anointing,” she said.
According to her, the meeting ended and then, he made a call for those who wanted to be more on fire. So, many of them came out and he prayed for all of them. After the meeting, he gave them a special assignment and for her, the assignment he gave her was to go and pray for one hour every day till the next meeting. She was however confused and asked him if anyone can pray in tongues for one and he affirmed.
She obeyed and decided to carry on the assignment. She set her alarm clock and started praying. She prayed and prayed and the alarm refused to ring. So she began to think the alarm clock has spoilt. When she stopped and checked the time, she had just used 15 minutes. She said that she can’t talk about all the impact today but it has been a very powerful experience.
“I have been so blessed, I have been spiritually on fire and I think it’s a great privilege to be married to him. And I will do it again if I had the choice to,” she said.
