Dunamis Abuja Pastor Narrates His journey through the valley of Shadow of Death

Pastor David Onah is a Pastor in Dunamis International Gospel centre worldwide. Recently the Pastor took to his Facebook account to narrate how he miraculously survived the attack of the herdsmen in a village where he was recovering from an accident that almost claimed his right leg.

Here is what he posted on his Facebook account:

‘Psalms 23:4 Ye,though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

20th May ,2019 the LORD delivered me from an accident that almost claimed my right leg, and threatened to deform me.

It happened in the middle of nowhere, help was not forth coming. Left there under the open heavens in my condition, the rains poured down heavily, while I was on the floor waiting for help.

Suddenly help came in the form of a woman, returning from her farm, with her young child. On sighting me, they made the move to lift me up, but couldn’t.

Little did I know, that what had happened, had affected my right thigh bone.

While there, waiting for extra help, cold from the heavy rains, was already taking a toll on me, and SUDDENLY the Miracle working GOD, sent another help my way.

A young man returning from his farm tired, saw me right at the middle of the road, and quickly rushed and picked me up, and assisted me to his village.

Fast forward to 30th May 2019 (10 Days after the accident)

Fast forward to 30th May 2019( 10 Days after the accident)

While recieving treatment in that beautiful village INOLI CITY( OLE’GADAOCHENO) ,a place like no other, the first of its kind,in all my journeys. I was in a Village where NO ONE SMOKES,NO ONE DRINKS ALCOHOL, NO ONE SELLS these things either.

Suddenly, like in the movies,we began to hear GUN SHOTS. Panic everywhere, people running here and there, then the sound of the gunshots became louder, and closer to our dwelling. The Panic became intense, the commotion was at another level. Those who could run, were running, those who had children, were calling on their children,so they could all leave the village for fear of death.

In the midst of this heavy commotion, one of the young guys, who always came to keep me company and gist with me,came into the room I was,and whispered to me and Minister Abraham( the minister in charge of DUNAMIS OBAGAJI) ,that FULANI herdsmen, had surrounded the village.

On hearing this,I heard a voice say to me,this is where you will die,and almost instantly,I over heard myself saying,I can’t die like this; this is not how GOD designed it. While I was hearing my inner voice challenging the voice of death, the young man walked in with 5 other guys all armed with guns, and told me not to worry, that three of these guys will be here with me in the room.

See people, watching movies is one thing, but being in the scene of live action, is another thing entirely.
The annoying part was that,I couldn’t move, not to talk of walk or run for my dear life, but GOD was there for me,and Minister Abraham refused to leave my side. I could smell the fear in him, which was mutual, but his love for GOD,kept him by my side.

The gunshots became more intense,as more of these FULANI men, were crossing the Benue river and heading towards INOLI CITY. They attacked from all angles, but GOD was with is through out that evening, until youths from neighbouring villages began to troop in on bikes to help fight off the FULANI men.
After like 3-4 or more hours of shooting and killings,GOD gave US victory. They FULANI men ran away, some jumped into the Benue river to escape for their lives.
The next morning, the youths quickly arranged for a small CANOE,with engine attached to help move me out of their village for safety.
It took 10 solid young men,to lift me up,from the room I was,to the river bank.

When I saw the river, how full it was, fear gripped me. Hia! Small Canoe,on a pregnant river like this, but when I remembered the night before, fear died a natural death, and we finally left INOLI CITY to Obagaji.

FINALLY! Lagos to allow Churches to reopen on 7th August

We stayed at Obagaji for two months, recieving local treatment that failed.

Abraham and I agreed we move to the hospital, which we did.

While at d operating room( Theatre ) the devil brought his fight there.
As the Doctor was cutting me up,light went off.
I was fully awake but not feeling anything.
This happened like twice, before they knocked me out to finish the process.

Today, when I look back, and recall all that I passed through last year, and all that GOD did for me,I know that I am forever in HIS debt.
GOD never left my side, and HE also sent me help, when I needed it the most.

LESSON FROM MY STORY.
Never look down on people or anyone, because of where you met them,or how you met them.
They could be the one(s) GOD will use to help you, when you least expect.

JESUS, I am here today,to return all the glory to you.
Your WORD came through for me.

All is well now. Thank you JESUS,Thank you JESUS, Thank you JESUS.
