Marriage is an institution established by God right from the beginning of the world. God created and formed Adam in the garden of Eden. God made Adam both as a husbandman and also a gardener, to tend to the garden of Eden and to also take care of the animals. It is recorded in Genesis 5:2 that, God already created the human species in male and female, hence, God already has a preplanned intention to make the woman, after He had formed Adam. The woman is a project that God has specially planned for the man. Therefore, the issue of marriage is a divine mandate that God has established for every human being created right from inception.
However, the fall of man in the garden caused a lot of disruption in the ordinance of marriage hence, a lot of pollution has set in causing a lot of discrepancies in the life of the average human being. Lateness in marriage and various spiritual attacks has also rendered some men and women hopeless of getting married. This has caused so many men and women to fall into a depression on lose faith in the cause of getting married at all.
Pastor Mildred Kingsley Okonkwo during her teachings on marital and relationship teachings has adjured the single ladies and men not to be staunchly established on the issue of getting married at all cost. It should not deprive them of the normal life they are supposed to live. Every average human being must live for God. Appreciate God in every position you find yourself and be particularly appreciative of how far God has brought you in life. Marriage is not a determinant of what your life should look like. It is not a ticket to heaven. Marriage is never a determining factor that would be used in selection on those that would make it to paradise, neither is it also a criterion that God uses to bless anyone. It should not be a measure in which you would be rated in life. As much as marriage is a mandate of God for man, it should not be a determining factor on which your success and advancement in life should be based. If marriage is not forthcoming, brush up on yourself and live for God. Enjoy your single life in pleasing God and Push up to achieve the best in life. Do not be deterred as a result of your inability to get married as a result of your not getting the right partner.
The life of every single lady and man must be tailored towards fulfilling the will of God and walking worthy of His will. Marriage is part of a man’s achievement but it is not a determinant of the kind of life you must live, which is supposed to be for God, at all times
