According to Pastor David Ibiyeomi, we have difficulty even in prayer because we don’t want to hear what God has to say.

One of the most important things a Christian cannot do without is prayer. Ephesians 6:18 of the Bible gives Christians the command to pray continuously. God answers prayers, yet a lot of Christians lack the patience to wait for him to do so.

Pastor David Ibiyeomi, the founder of Salvation Ministries, recently wrote on his Facebook page about what Christians ought to do every time they pray. The clergyman underlined the value of listening to God when praying to him during the sermon.

He claimed that the issue is that even if God is communicating, people don’t hear him when they pray. He said that after praying, a Christian should halt and wait for God’s response.

Hearing him say, “Pray, but pay attention to what God says,” Even when we pray, we have a problem hearing God because we don’t want to hear him speak. When you pray, you pause and wait for answers. “Prayer is communication.”
