FFK: Pastors are our first line of defence in this battle against covid-19

The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has applauded the various pastors and spiritual leaders in Nigeria during the surging coronavirus pandemic.

He commended pastors for not failing to reach out to the church in spite of how the lockdown has adversely affected physical religious gatherings.

According to him, pastors are the first line of defence Nigerians have in the COVID-19 battle, which he called “historic” and “spiritual.”

“Thank God that despite this lockdown Nigerian pastors are still reaching out, showing love, encouraging our people, praying for us and standing in the gap,” Femi Fani-Kayode wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

“They are our first line of defence in this great and historic spiritual battle and it is because of their love, courage, commitment, dedication, prayers, and shield of faith that the casualties in our nation are not as high as they could be.

“I am so proud of them! The counsel of bloodthirsty and evil men shall not stand and the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Bride of Christ!”
