Finding The One Does Not Complete You – Emmanuella Mike Bamiloye Pens Down Words

The other day, I was listening to a married couple being interviewed and they both confessed that even though they had been married for almost two decades, they felt lonely and incomplete. They had both hoped that the other person would complete them and make them feel whole but that wasn’t the case.

I’ve heard it said many times “when I find the one, s/he will completes me”. But that is not so.

There is a void in every heart. An emptiness. God’s original intention is for that void to be filled by Him and Him alone but many people use people and other things to fill it up and because only God can fill it up, they get fraustrated when they still fill empty.

Only Jesus is able to fill us up.
The Bible says in Col 2:10 that “you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”

Allow God to be the Centre around which your life revolves. Reach for that point of intimacy with the Father where you realize that without Him, you are nothing. Fall so deep in love with Jesus that He becomes all you need. Enter your rest in Him so much so if you don’t have anyone (relationship wise) your peace and joy is still intact. Let Jesus be your world.

Your spouse should find you complete not desperate to be made complete by him/her. You aren’t to complete your spouse but to complement him/ her. The both of you are to come as 100 % each not 50-50%. You are to be an asset not a liability.
With this understanding, you cannot be tossed around by a man who doesn’t love or value you. You should understand your worth and value and not settle for just anybody.

You cannot be complete in Him without first being his child ie being born again. So without making any assumptions, let me state at this point that the only way to God, the only way to be complete, the only way to have eternal life is through Jesus and He loves you so much John 3:16 and wants to be your groom.

If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, please don’t let this moment pass you by. Surrender all to Him, askHim to be your Lord and saviour. Let Him fill up the void and make you complete.

God Bless
