Franklin Graham Holds First-Ever Evangelical Meeting in Mongolia, Reaching Over 17,000 People with the Gospel

Over 17,000 people attended Franklin Graham’s first evangelistic event in Mongolia.

Franklin Graham held a special evangelistic gathering in Mongolia over the weekend, and hundreds of people responded by giving their lives to Jesus.

Are you emotionally shattered? Do you feel like there’s nothing filling you up spiritually? Is your life a waste? Should you want to visit Him, Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association and Samaritan’s Purse, told the assembly. Jesus Christ is necessary because He is the sole means of salvation.

Over 17,300 people reportedly showed up for the free two-night “Festival of Joy” event in Mongolia’s capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Music and the arts from Mongolia were also shown during the event.

About 20 years ago, leaders in Mongolia started praying for BGEA to perform an outreach in their nation, which led to the conception of the evangelistic event.

The “Festival of Joy” was the first event of its kind conducted by the Mongolian church, and it required the cooperation of more than 250 separate congregations.

People from all over the world have gone to these events and placed their faith in Jesus Christ for the first time. Pastor of Blessing Rain Church and festival chairman Bayasgalan Lkhagva told BGEA, “This is a blessing, and as Christians in Mongolia, we want to bless the people of our own nation by being a part of this chance to teach them about God’s tremendous love for them.”

As he proceeded, he said, “We look forward to having Evangelist Franklin Graham to Ulaanbaatar and watching how God touches lives through the Festival of Joy.”

Graham, who had previously visited Mongolia in 2018, thanked the churches that had contributed to the success of the event.

According to his Facebook post, his time in Mongolia was wonderful because of the kind locals.

“Many individuals are looking for something, but they don’t know what it is, and as a result, they’re left with a hollow feeling within that they can’t seem to fill. On the other hand, God longs for fellowship with us because of his love. The only person who can make up for that missing piece in our life is him,” he said.
