Free food has been a tactics to get people to come for a program. Whenever food is shared, people will rush to attend the program, so they can enjoy the free food.
Bishop David Oyedepo has revealed that when he was young, he fought against free food because he did not like to be a liability to anybody. He said this during the Covenant Hour of Prayer meeting today.
“When I was young, I fought against free food. When we would go for conferences, and we will line up with our plates like this. No! That’s irresponsibility,” he said.
He declared that Winners are people who don’t like to give up their responsibility, rather, they will take up responsibility for their own lives.
When people attend conferences for the food alone, they fail to gain anything from the conference or occasion. In fact, this free food mentality has seen people display the most unruly attitudes when it is time to share the food. Some people fight, scheme, take more than they can handle or even engage in petty quarrels because of the food.
