Topic: Godliness pays, Text: 1 Timothy 4:8 KJV [8], For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
Whatever we do to keep our body in proper shape or whatever money we lavish on this body is for now because it has nothing to do with eternity. When you exercise your body you look good and healthy., but it profit little because our life here is temporal.
As we therefore desire to enjoy this present world we must always be conscious of eternal home when we shall be like Jesus when we see him.. It is ignorance to spend times and money only to beautify the body without any desire to spend on God’s kingdom It is time to be conscious of eternity where righteousness is needed before you can be allowed to enter. Don’t be engrossed or overwhelmed with the things of the world as to forget where you will spend your eternity.
Godliness is profitable both here on earth and in heaven. Becoming a fool for God pays . You may be cheated or despised for your faith. A times you may look like a fool and may not be able to claim your right because you choose not to walk in the way of the world. But at the end of your patience and faith, you will Surely receive the reward from God both here on earth and most importantly in heaven . Be happy and joyful to serve God and live for him, God is mindful of you and you will not loose your reward.
Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the kingdom promise.
Prayer: Lord Jesus. Please help me to live with consciousness of eternity. Let me walk in your righteousness in Jesus name. May I follow you wholeheartedly in Jesus name.
