God Did Not Call Me To Start An Independent Ministry – Bishop David Abioye

The Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Abioye, told his congregation that God did not call him to start a ministry. Instead, God sent him to work with Bishop David Oyedepo in Living Faith Church.

He said that some people establish ministries when God did not call them to do so, while some do so out of disagreement with the leadership of the ministry they work with. According to him, if God does not call you to start a ministry, you should not venture into it, because you will run into serious crises.

He then said that he has been working with Bishop David Oyedepo for the past forty years, and he is seeing results the same way as his spiritual father. He referred to 1Corinthians 7:20, which says every man should remain in the calling in which he was called. According to him, ministries will always rise from other ministries, because we are in the days of visions and revelations. However, he warns that such rising must be from God, and not because of anger, envy, pride, or as a form of competition.

Speaking further, he said that when God truly calls you to open a ministry, you should ensure that you receive the blessings of the spiritual father you work with. He referred to Galatians 2:9, where Apostle Paul, after being called by God, received the right hand of fellowship from the brethren to go and preach to the gentiles.
