“God Has Choosen us for a Purpose” – Excerpts from Pastor Kumuyi Bible Study Message

On Monday, 14 September, 2020, during the weekly Bible Study programme, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry Pastor Kumuyi took his teaching from the book of 1 Corinthians 1:1-9, titled “CHRIST’S PURPOSEFUL CALL INTO HIS KINGDOM.”

The spirit-filled, scripture-inspired and soul-lifting message by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi is a message for everyone who really wants to live a godly, Christian life, especially, as we prepare for the coming of our Saviour.

Below are some salient quotes from the message:

“Our calling to salvation is a call to the Kingdom of God. We have responsibilities as we respond to the call.”

“Like Paul the Apostle, we should have conversion by the seeking Saviour; call to soul-saving service; concern for sinners’ salvation; consecration with selfless surrender; commitment despite severe suffering; continuity with single-minded steadfastness, and companions in sacrificial servanthood.”

“Don’t allowed any day to meet you not expecting the Lord, don’t ever say ‘I’m going to do this, the Lord will not come today’; you will be surprise, ‘I’m going to go there, the Lord may not come today’, you might be surprise, but let us be like the wise virgins who are waiting for their Lord. Expecting the Lord from glory. We remain sanctified, established in godliness and steadfast, enlisted by God engaged in the service of the Lord.”
