God Never Wanted To Destroy Sodom And Gomorrah Because Of Their Sins, But This – Apostle Joel Ogebe Reveals

The Founder of the apostolic ministry, The Love Family International, Apostle Joel Ogebe, a disciple of Apostle Johnson Suleman, has taken to his Facebook handle to reveal a message he claimed to have received from the Lord concerning the biblical destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

According to the account of Genesis, Sodom and Gomorrah were tagged as “sinful cities” and were destroyed by God with sulfur and fire (Genesis 19:24). In Genesis 18:20, God told Abraham that Sodom and Gomorrah will be destroyed but Abraham pleaded with Him through series of negotiations. This is because his nephew, Lot, and his family were there. Finally, God reached an agreement with Abraham that the cities will not be destroyed if only He can find 10 righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18:23-32).

According to Apostle Joel Ogebe: “For God to negotiate with a man, it means He really wants to show mercy. Abraham was so confident that at least 10 righteous people will be found in Lot’s family. But to his greatest surprise, the two Angels God sent to Lot’s family, met mob who ask for the newcomers. Lot even offered his daughters to the mob (Gen. 19:1-11).

“God revealed to me that He wanted to preserve Sodom and Gomorrah. But He was angered after He couldn’t find 10 righteous people in Lot’s family. He had a deal with Abraham and He can’t go back on His words. So if Lot’s family had only 10 righteous people, Sodom and Gomorrah will still be there. This is to say that He never destroyed the cities because of their wickedness, Lot’s family made Him to”.
