Apostle Johnson Suleiman, the founder and Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries told the story of what God showed him in Abeokuta.
He revealed that many years ago, he went into a town called Shakpon in Abeokuta. While he was entering, he was in the car with the Bishop and God open his eyes to see the inside of a very big tree. He saw cars, big trees, houses, matriculation gowns, convocation gowns, wedding gowns e.t.c. He then asked the Lord “what is this? God told him that the destiny of people is in the tree and immediately told him to bring it down. The man of God that invited him to preach just told him to give his message and leave the town.
However, the man of God took him to meet the Baale (the king of the land), and unfortunately, the Baale was lying down. He had a stroke. One part of his body was paralyzed. The man of God revealed that he was happy because he knew if God can heal that man, he will permit him to do anything. While they discussed, he told the man that they are going to go around the tree and uproot it, because the tree was like the God of the village they worship. The Baale immediately said that the tree is not his problem. He just wants to be able to stand and walk.
He prayed for the man and God healed him immediately. Then the man told him that some missionaries tried to cut down the tree in the ’90s but while they were using moto-saw, the tree began to bring fresh blood and people began to cry out from the tree. The Baale then permitted them to uproot the tree and he immediately summoned the Bishop to summon other pastors. When they got there, he told them to move around the tree and they took some warfare songs, and he said, “father I was told that moto-saw couldn’t bring down this tree and I knock on the door of thunder, let thunder blast from the top down to the bottom, let lightning divide, let the sun dry up the tree.”
Finally, the man of God revealed that God answered their prayers. Where the tree was is now a main road where people walk. Thunder struck, divided the tree and the sun began to dry it up. Where the tree was before is now a road where people pass but the good news is this, Young men began to get married, people began to go to school.
