According to Church Gist, a socio-cultural group in Ilesa, Egbe Atunluse Ile-Ijesa in the Osun State of Nigeria has approached the ministry, for the establishment of a University in the city. As shared by Church Gist, the group has secured 400 hectares of land for the establishment of the higher institute of learning.
As shared by Church Gist, the social group is 100 years old, and they have been reputed for the establishment of several institutions for the benefit of the indigenes of the Ijesa citizens. The collaboration with the Church on the University project was announced by ex-Osun State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof Yemi Kayode-Adedeji, at the unveiling of the Centenary Anniversary and inauguration of its committee and sub-committees in Ilesa on Saturday.
It would be a great development and source of resourcefulness should the project materialize as the people hoped. It would also be a point of reconning for other societies in the nation to buy a great example from the activities of the centenarian society, Egbe Atunluse Ile-Ijesa; as they have been doing valiantly to ensure that the citizens of their society gained the most precious knowledge in life through formal education.
It would also be a great avenue for Deeper Life Christian Ministry to further extend the propagation of the gospel to the people, and establish an avenue of formal education where not only the knowledge of formal education would be extended to the young ones, but also the impartation of the knowledge in the word of God.
