Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo is a year older today, the man of God is 66 years old today. Bishop David Oyedepo definitely is a blessing to this country and the entire world at large. Asides being a spiritual blessing to this generation, he (through his ministry) has been able to add his own quota to the development of this nation. Convenant University and Land Mark University (both owned by the ministry) have added immense impact to the educational reputation of this country as a whole. The ministry he heads over has also help to put some social amenities in place in the past, creation of roads and hospitals is not new to this man of God. There have also been incidences of his ministry stepping up to the urgent need of the Nation, as in the case of providing for some internally displaced people and also donating ambulances during COVID19.
The question that had been on many people’s mind has been, who will take over from this powerful man of God when he leaves the post? According to my observation and the look of things his first son, past David junior, might be the one to take over from his father. The young man, who has been following is fathers path, seems to be on the path to leadership. Pastor David is presently the the resident pastor at the headquarters of the ministry, which is located at Sango Ota in Ogun state. Before the the pandemic, he used to preach in one of the services, every Sunday. Some set of members already like his style of teaching, as they always attend the service he preaches.
David Junior is a graduate of both Oral Roberts University and the Christian University of Oklahoma. In May 2007, he and his sibling were confirmed by Dr. Kenneth Copeland. On March 24th, 2013, the day after his grandmother’s funeral, Pastor Makinde preached his maiden sermon at the Faith Tabernacle. He was announced as the ‘next generation’ by Bishop David Abioye. In August 2016, Bishop Oyedepo and Mummy Faith Oyedepo went on holiday, and on Sunday at Faith Tabernacle, Pastor David Oyedepo junior ministered in 5 services. This was the first time anyone could do that, aside from Bishop Oyedepo. He is the youngest of the Living Faith Church’s Vice Presidents, and there are four other Vice Presidents.
From these above hints, I think it’s safe to assume that Pastor David Junior might be taking over from his father. Bishop David Oyedepo has really done a lot to impact on this generation.
